Crochet pattern Blue Arabesque Blanket

The Blue Arabesque blanket uses the mosaic technique. Although mosaic crochet looks very complicated, it's not. It's actually a surprisingly simple way to create colorful patterns with multiple colors.

A mosaic pattern consists only of single crochets and double crochets. For the border, half double crochets are added. Sounds simple, right!?

With this blanket, all rounds are crocheted from right to left. And you attach a new thread to each round. This way, no annoying loops are created on the back of the blanket. And don't be afraid of the amount of threads that you see. They are worked away at the end between a double edge.

The blanket I crocheted is approximately 100 x 150 cm. The pattern clearly explains how to adjust it to any desired size. My blanket was crocheted with Novita 7 Veljestä 7 Brothers yarn and a 4.5 mm and 5 mm crochet hook. But you can, of course, crochet it with any yarn you like.
